Fall 2017 Classes

CS 3100: Data Structures and Algorithms: The required textbook for the class will be Data Abstraction and Abstractions with Java, 4/E by Frank Carrano and Timothy Henry. (3rd edition is also ok)
CS 4100: Programming Languages: Digital copies of the required text will be available for the students; the book need not be purchased. The book is Principles of Programming Languages: Design, Evaluation, and Implementation (Third Edition), by Bruce J. MacLennan.
CS 4250: Database Management Systems The required text for the class is Databases Illuminated, 3rd ed by C. Ricardo and S.D. Urban. ('Navigate 2 Advantage Access offered by publishers is not necessary.)
CS 4960: Senior Seminar (No required textbook.)
CS 4840: Computer Security and Cryptography. The recommended texts for the class are Security in Computing, Fifth Edition by Pfleeger, Pfleeger and Margulies, and Secrets and Lies: Digital Security in a Networked World, 15th Anniversary Edition by Bruce Schneir. Both books are available via the CSU Stanislaus Library's access to the Safari On-Line book collection.
