Starting now and for the rest of the semester you are to write English for 10 minutes a day (a minimum of four days a week). Start a file in the following required format:
<File name> <Your Name> <Date Created> <Purpose> ==================== #1 <Date> ==================== your ten minutes of writing.............. ==================== #2 <Date> ==================== your ten minutes of writing.............. ==================== #3 <Date> ==================== your ten minutes of writing..............and so on.
You can write anything* you would like it this file. I will check (skim through) it a couple of times during the semester (with minimal notice) to make sure that you are doing it, but I will not be reading the contents.
The goal of this assignment is to develop a habit of writing, which will help to record interesting thoughts and clarify your thinking.
At a few points in the semester, I may supply a mandatory prompt that a journal entry within a given time range must respond to.
