WORK SCHEDULE FOR CS 3750 -- Spring 2020
You will find weekly reading assignments here that set a pace that will keep
you roughly on track to complete all the required reading by the end of the semester.
For best results try to both stay ahead of my lectures in your reading, and stay ahead of the reading assignments. When you get a quiz, it'll have mostly questions related both to what I've been presenting in class and to recent reading assignments. Some questions may relate only to lecture or only to readings. Before each quiz, I'll tell the class a little more about what to expect.
I will try to synchronize homework assignments with lecture and quizzes. In class or
office hours, feel free to ask questions related to the current homework.
Before you read a chapter in the book, first read the assigned homework
problems for that chapter. As you read the chapter, gather the maximal amount
of relevant information to use in your answers to the problems.
I'm assigning reading in chapters 1-15. I advise you to keep your text book for further reading and reference. If you finish reading the whole book, I think you'll learn a lot of things that you'll eventually find quite valuable.

Watch for announcements concerning upcoming tests to be sent to the class

announcements about availability of screencast versions of lectures and
discussion of solutions to homework problems. The schedule of readings
remains unchanged, and my intention is to continue covering about one
chapter per week in (screencast) lectures.
This week we try out sample testing. For the first test, use
the Respondus LockDown Monitor
to sign in to Blackboard and take the test. (See the directions in my
message of April 01 to the class mailing list.
The message was sent shortly before 1:30 in the afternoon.)
