- I posted directions for Lab #2. Please study and
rehearse them.
- Elmer Salazar is now conducting tutoring sessions for CS 1500 and CS
2500, MWF 1:30-2:30, Tues and Thurs. 12:00-1:30
- We are having a quiz on Friday - on chapters 1-2 of DWH, chapters
1-3 and 5 of Andersen, and the skills learned in the Hello World!
assignment.

- Discussion about preparing for the quiz:
- To prepare for questions on chapters 1-2 of DWH, go over the
"Quick Check" and "Exam Preparation Exercises" for those
chapters. Find answers in the chapter text.
- To prepare for questions on chapters 1-3 and 5 of Andersen,
review using the exercises at the ends of the chapters.
- To prepare for questions on Hello World! skills, review
the directions for the Hello World! assignment. It is
best to spend some time on the computer executing some of the
commands.
- Discuss outcomes of lab 01 - what happened? How did things go?
- What will we do for lab #2 - how should we prepare?
- Show an example of what it involved in the actual
writing of the solo #1 program. When is it due?
- Go over sample programs from chapter 2 and 3 of DWH illustrating key
concepts
