Directions for Lab #5

Do Laboratory #3 on pages 285-286 of Shiflet. The file lab053.cpp is here.

Do all the steps given in the directions for laboratory 3, except:
  1. Skip step (f).

  2. In step (g) the directions say to print a listing of the program and a listing of sample output. Instead of doing that, e-mail me a copy of the source file and a filtered test script. (Make the script so it shows you running these four inputs:[3,4,5]; [5,4,3]; [3,4,9]; and [9,4,3]. )

When you send the e-mail, please use the following subject lines: You can refer to the "Hello World!" example for details on how to make and filter a script file, and on how to e-mail files to me.

Please prepare for the lab and rehearse what you will do when you perform it on Friday, April 13. If you and your partner do not finish the lab then, you can complete it on the friday after spring break: Friday, April 27. You will have until 5:00 Friday, April 27 to turn in the completed lab #5, or as much of it as you have finished. After that you won't be able to get credit for this lab. (It counts for about 3-4% of your grade in the course.)
