Directions for Lab #4
Do Laboratory 1 on pages 211-214 of Shiflet. The file lab041.cpp is
here.
Do all the steps given in the directions for laboratory 1, with the
following exceptions:
- In step e, don't print the listing. Instead send it to me
via e-mail with subject line: CS1500_Lab4_Lev1.
- Skip step j.
- In step k, don't print the listing and test runs. Instead
make a script that records all the test runs (remember you need to
run the program several times in order to test it adequately.)
Send the source code to me via e-mail with subject line:
"CS1500_Lab4_Source" and send me the script with subject
line "CS1500_Lab4_Script."
You can refer to
the Hello World! example
for details on how to make and filter a script file, and on how
to e-mail files to me.
On Monday, March 19 you will get started doing this lab. You will be able
to work at your own pace. Lab assistant Ray Williams will be there to take
roll and answer questions. You don't have to finish on that day and you
don't have to e-mail anything to me that day.
I will schedule a day in the following week for the class to finish up the
lab. You will be required to finish the lab on that day. That means you
will have to e-mail all the results by 12:15 that day.
