Title: Something About Knots
Abstract: Knots appear in our everyday lives from tying shoes
to enzyme
action in DNA to statistical mechanics in physics. We are going to
explore
ways to tell knots apart. We will provide an introduction to Knot Theory
and insight into some important properties used to distinguish knots.
This talk is recommended for a general audience (5yrs and up).
