Title: Developing Games and Dealing With Large
Projects as an Undergraduate
Abstract: Moving a project from idea to completed product
takes a lot of work and dedication to the concept. There are many
lessons to be learned along the way and this talk will attempt to
address major hurdles when it comes to large scale software
development. Sean Kelly, Zach Donnell and Brandon Risell developed
the mobile software game Refraction while studying Computer Science
at CSU Stanislaus which led to moderate success on the Android
platform with roughly 300,00 total downloads. This talk will go over
the history of developing Refraction, dealing with a large scale
product while also attending classes , and hopes to show that
completing a large scale project is possible while studying Computer
Science.
