Title: Exploring Large Data Sets
Abstract:
Funded by a grant from the Army High Performance Computing
Research Center, we are working with nine undergraduate students to
explore large data sets. Our approach includes machine learning and
visualization of patterns in data, large-scale analysis, simulations,
and experimentation with data management systems performance. In this
talk we will describe a data pipeline we are creating, discuss tools
and techniques we are using, and show some preliminary results.
