Poster Nerd has a lovely collection of PowerPoint poster templates suitable for presentation at scientific venues, plus advice about creating a poster.

Posters can be printed by the campus Print Shop or at the Fab Lab or at FedEx Kinko's.

Campus Print Shop (Stan Prints, basement of MSR building) prices:

$94 for 36 inch by 48 inch color,
$53 for 24 inch by 36 inch (most common size),
$32 for 18 inch by 24 inch. Plus tax.

All print jobs done in color. (Prices as of March 2025, so might be out of date by May.)
Stan Prints recommends taking poster data files to print shop two weeks before you need the poster.

The campus Fab Lab has a 36" (3') inkjet printer, and advertises a price of $4 / sq. ft. to use it to print on bond paper. Up to date Fab Lab prices should be here.

Staples (1850 Countryside Dr, Turlock) also offers poster printing services. Unofficially, past students have reported printing black and white posters for less than the official prices listed on the Staples web site. (It could be worth it to take the poster file to Staples and ask.)

(Students are also welcome to construct posters by printing 12 individual 8.5 x 11" sheets of paper. We recommend bringing some transparent tape to assemble a budget-friendly poster made of 12 individual sheets, since tape might not be available.)

Poster boards will be available on May 15, to help hold up student posters.
