Dr. Silverman in DSE sponsored Dipsea race, in June 2007. This race was considered one of the most extreme races in the US when it was created in 1905.

San Francisco Half Marathon, February 2008. It was raining cats and dogs and some people reported seeing sleet on Great Highway.


Santa Cruz Half Marathon, April 2008. Good weather at the start time 55-60 degrees. At mile nine, almonds and tangerine and gatorade and water.

Marina, July 2008. It's Mort's fault.

Crystal Lakes, November 2008. Chasing Wendy, and chased by Bill to the finish line.

First run, January 1, 2009. Nice run on Golden Gate Bridge, no rain just cold.




San Francisco Half Marathon, February, 2009. Forget tangerines, go with gatorade and almonds. Only three minutes behind Wendy.




















Santa Cruz Half Marathon, 2009. Day high 90 degrees, not a good day for running.

Started at weight= 77 kg; arrived to the finish after 21km at weight= 63 kg (pic on right).
