Blank Word document to work on midterm in. I found most of the relational algebra operators and put them at the top, so you can copy and paste them into appropriate locations. I haven't found the bowtie operator (yet -- it used to be there somewhere!), but copy-n-pasting two sideways-facing triangle symbols is pretty close.

17 Mar 2021 Here is one small chunk of the midterm you will take on Thursday during class time.

A 20 minute quiz, part of the midterm, is in Canvas. It will be available all of Thursday, 3/18, and all of Friday (Pacific Time).

26 Feb 2021 "LinkedIn: Top 15 In-Demand Jobs in 2021", 14 Jan 2021. (Scroll down. Keep scrolling.)
25 Feb 2021 Quiz 1 will be here (at quiz time, not before)

(Password for the quiz is the same as the lecture slide password.)
24 Feb 2021 The on-line portion of Quiz 1 has 13 questions. Some True / False, some Multiple Answer. (Multiple Answer are similar to multiple choice, except multiple answers may all be correct.)

Questions will be presented one at a time, and you have a total of 25 minutes to finish the quiz.

The on-line portion of Quiz 1 will become available in Canvas after class on Thursday, and must be completed by midnight Friday.

17 Feb 2021 FYI, Perseverance is to land (or not) on Mars tomorrow, the 18th, shortly before 1pm PST. NASA will start live streaming stuff about an hour or two beforehand. (Here, if you're interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm0b_ijaYMQ&ab_channel=NASA)
