Lab 5
Due March 22nd
Web Searching - Copy and
paste the results into Google Docs Document, then share the Document
At the end of the
semester you and two or three partners will be doing an In-class Presentation
(between 5-10 minutes in length).
Class Presentations will start April 24th or 29 th. You will need to choice your own
partner(s). I will leave a few
minutes at the end of class for students to met others and discuss ideas. For this assignment you will research
three possible topics that you are interested in doing your presentation
on. Your presentation will need to
be on some type of new technology or software, and you will need to explain the
new technology/software, how it works, and how it is used.
For Lab 5, we
will be using Google Docs. You will
need to create an account. Mine is dgomez.stan@gmail.com

The following
information can be either copy and paste into the
Google Docs or you can upload the file to Google Docs.
You file should
be titled: lastname,
firstname cs4000 example: Gomez, Debbie cs4000
1. 30 pts. Search three possible topics, on five
different search engines. One of
these new technologies will be your presentation topic. You will be submitting 15 different web results in your
document.

Just copy and paste one chosen result for each topic into your
document, for each search engine.
You should number and list each search engine you used followed by
the three relevant results, for a total of 15 results.
2. 10 pts. Use the
Internet to search your name.
Include at least two things
you find, even if it isnÕt you.
Copy and paste these results into your document.
3. 10 pts. Share your document on Google Docs with
me,
dgomez.stan@gmail.com
After you and your
partner(s) have decided and ranked the three topics you would like to present,
have one person submit your topic
request to: Topic
Request link Topic request will be first come first
given. Also please state any date
preference at this time, otherwise I will assign the presentation dates
randomly.
You do not have
to search the same three topics as your team members.
Remember:
¥Do not send e-mail with an attachment this time, you must use
Google Docs, for
this assignment, the file will be in the ÒCloudÓ.
¥Make sure you include your name and class in the title of your
document, so you can be graded.
