Gives the student the
knowledge and experience needed to use a personal computer effectively. A range
of computers and software will be available; as much as possible, the student
will be able to learn about systems, which are directly usable in his or her
area of study. Topics include discussions of computer hardware, the range of
capabilities of the personal computer, how to evaluate a piece of software, and
how software is written. Satisfies
G.E. area F1. Co-requisite: CS
4002. You must be enrolled in both sections. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
(Credit may not be given for both CS 2000 and CS 4000.).

Grading:
Quizzes will be done on-line at blackboard.csustan.edu You will have
24 hours to take the quiz, once it is announced in class.
Lab Assignments will be linked to the class web page and
posted when the assignment is given.
When you have completed your assignment you will e-mail to dgomez01@charter.net Assignments are due at
midnight on the due date, the e-mail will be the date and time stamp. 10%
will deducted each day on late assignments, up to 50%.
