To familiarize students
with current computing technologies used within education, home, and business
environments. Topics include productivity tools such as word processing,
spreadsheets, hardware, and operating systems. There also will be discussion of
ethical and social issues concerning information technologies. Enrollment
preference will be given to Liberal Studies majors. Co-requisite: CS 2002.
Satisfies G.E. area E1. Students may not use both CS 2000 and CS 4000 to
satisfy G.E. requirements. (Credit may not be given for both CS 2000 and CS
4000.) (Lecture, 2 hours; laboratory, 2 hours)

Grading:
Quizzes will be done on-line at blackboard.csustan.edu The scheduled quiz time is Friday during
Lab. You will be able take
the quizzes from Wed. after class until Friday. at 10:00 pm.
Lab
Assignments will be
linked to the class web page. When
the assignment is given the link will become active. When you have completed your assignment you will e-mail to dgomez01@charter.net Assignments are due at midnight on
the due date, the e-mail will be the date and time stamp. 10%
will deducted each day on late assignments, up to 50%.
