Lab 3

Web Searching - Copy and paste the results into your e-mail.

At the end of the semester (Lab 10) you will be doing a Power Point Presentation. You can choose your own topic. It should be on some type of new technology or software. You will need to explain the new technology/software, how it works, and how it is used.

1. 30 pts. Search three possible topics, on five different search engines. One of these new technologies will be your presentation topic, at the end of the semester.

State which search engines you used and include at least one relevant result from each site for each topic. (for a total of 15 results) You can just copy and paste your findings into your e-mail message. Do not send an attachment.

You should list each topic followed by the five relevant results noting which search engine was used.

2. 10 pts. Use the Internet to search your name. Include at least two things you find. Even if it isn’t you.

3. 10 pts. Use the internet to find PowerPoint slide that go with this text book. Send me the URL.
